The plaster on the thumb is the icing on the cake here. Mistakes were clearly made.

Lol it was me from me removing the support material for the mount.

Being American, this took me longer than I'd like to admit. I kept looking for some rocky/chalky substance. Thank god my kid watches Peppa Pig to explain some of these terms lol.

You can actually do this and not even have to remove your hotend. Just print a mount for your printer. It's how I make a lot of decals for RC stuff. Cuts every bit as good as a cricut.

What do you use to make the g code?
level 2
You're right because you can rotate the top to pull in and out the blade. However, I tried it but on my Anet A2 the mounting point of the X carriage is way too high for it to be sturdy enough. A2 Laser Mount https://imgur.com/gallery/De7mMVN

Just curious if you run into any problems with drag knife compensation on Inkscape, as I'm assuming Circut is sure to have that, and cut results are similar?

No way! I asked myself yesterday if and how such thing would be possible and i planned on testing it this week and you really just did that? Awesome!

I searched that exact key phrase. But most are of a 3D printed holder and they placed the usual razor blade you get from the hardware store. There were a couple of an actual drag knife.

I have a nice vinyl cutter but I still feel like doing this. Very fun.

Gonna make records? That would be amazing

How did you build it? Got a link to the cutter part?

Lots of bait-&-switch on the ebay listings (a lot are pretending to sell holders, but actually only offer blades), but this search cuts out a lot of it: vinyl Blade holder -30 -45 -60
edit: oh you'll also need the blades: vinyl (cutter, plotter) blade pcs -1pcs
edit2: best option seems to be: 15x blades & a blade holder for $4.86 USD total.

Is there a risk of damage to the printing bed, from the blade?
level 2
Risk of damage to the blade from the bed, looks like glass. Should be cutting onto a soft plastic layer really
